Red Hook: Wards of Imaginaries

Residency at De-Construkt, Brooklyn + exhition at the Rencontres internationales de la photographie en Gaspésie, 2018.

« Red Hook : Wards of Imaginaries » explore this Brooklyn neighborhood existing architecture, an areas facing fast coming changes, creating a body of visual works using photography and photogrammetry (3D scan). The creative process includes research of visual archives, stories, and testimonies about Red Hook heritage buildings to create the artworks.

Visual narratives are created from locals about heritage sites that are in danger of being transformed, demolished or are abandoned in the neighborhood: buildings that are significant for the local population, unusual buildings, aging apartment blocks, former naval buildings, abandoned sites, etc.
